I Really Really Feel Like....

....making another historical dress!! And what's so sad is that I have to wait until I make my 1800's corset, and I have to wait to make my 1800's corset until Corsetmaking.com's Laughing Moon Silverado Corset Kit is back in stock!! *snaps fingers* (I knew I shouldn't have put off buying it until after our trip... :-/ )

*sighs* The weather is sooooo beautiful and it just feels like I should be working with five yards of beautifully, springy/summery fabric for an 1800's dress. Here are some of my options:

Love it!!!! I SEW want to make it!!! :-D :-D :-D

Yellow!!! I love yellow!! I love this dress too!
And more yellow (with blue)...(Oh! And there's Mr. Knightly! :-D Better and better... :-D )
That's not another yellow dress I spot, is it? :-D
One of Ada Clare's dresses would be lovely too!
Okay, so this one isn't yellow, and wouldn't take five yards of fabric, and isn't 1800's, but it is beautiful!
I also really want to make some 30's and 40's outfits after watching the "Molly" and "Kit" American Girl movies!!

What do you really really want to sew?

a blue satin dress from 1775 or so.... with 5" wide lace trimming the three quarter sleeves... and I want to sew Maria's blue dress and Emma's yellow one. And some of Marianne's dresses from Sense and Sensibility (both versions!)
So many choices.... so little time! Don't you wish we could just clap our hands, or snap our fingers, and a new dress would appear? But then I guess finishing the project wouldn't be so exciting....

oooh those are so awesome! I'm actually watching "Wives and Daughters" for the first time right now. I love that Maria Von Trapp dress! And personally I've fallen in love with the costumes from the new "Emma"
Celine, That *would* be awesome! Better yet, to snap our fingers and see an uncut bolt of fabric appear before our eyes so we could have the enjoyment of making the dress ourselves! :-D Oh, and that would be great if you made some of Marianne's dresses! :-D

Avonlea_Dreamer, Good for you!!! Enjoy "Wives and Daughters"; anyone who knows me well can tell you that's my favoritest movie ever!! :-D

I'm the hugest bum. I don't want to sew anything because I hate sewing. Maybe I'll have to hire you to make my clothes. :)Haha....no.......its very good for me to sit down at the machine. I think the next thing I will be sewing is (very boring I know) a tiered skirt or a jumper.

Those are all lovely dresses! =) I have so many costumes I want to be sewing--I have a Regency dress to finish, several doll costumes, and other miscellaneous projects.

I love all those dresses, but I would want to recreate the one that Cynthia wears, as well as the one that Ada wears!! I love both of their styles and those periods are my favorites!! I love love love the 1820's and 1850's!!

Right now my dream would be to make a 1820's dress just because! And I have a mock-up right now of a modern shirtdress to fix and then cut out the real material. I also want to start cutting out a new civil war quilt for reenacting. Lots to do! :)

I'd LOVE to make a beautiful Civil War Ball Gown, then wear it to a period ball- that would be a dream come true! =)

I love the inspiration in these dresses. And I especially like your sewing project wishlist! =)

Hmm, what do I really feel like sewing? Probably anything right now, although I've done so much of it lately that my wrists and forearms have been aching quite a bit, so I'll probably have to take a rest from sewing for awhile. =P
