Lady Harriet's Towers Ball Gown

Lady Harriet wears this gown at the gathering at the Towers that is hosted in honor of Roger Hamley.

I think is just too bad that she cut her hair... it really looks awful. :-S (That was besides the point, I guess. :-P )

A view of the hem. It's hard to see, but there are criss-crosses between the circles on the trimming. (That sounded extremely ignorant and untechnical. :-P)
Truly Victorian 455 may make a good replica of this dress.

I don't think Lady Harriet did cut her hair. The style reminds me of what they called "hair hats" at the time. They were essentially wigs, worn with the hair up under them, but served as hats (if that makes any sense).
