Molly's Wardrobe

Molly's gowns are a delight to study. In particular, it is interesting to see how her costumes change over the two or three years in which the movie takes place. She begins as a quiet little country girl, and as she grows into a mature young woman, her clothing tastes reflect that. Also, now and then, she'll try something new and exotic, and after that you never see it again! :-)

Thank you, thank you for all your research on the costumes of Wives and Daughters. It is probably one of my favorite BBC productions and I have been long wanting to recreate some of Molly's outfits. Last time I watched it I sketched many of them, jotting notes about them as I went along. If I could, I would dress like Molly all the time. Her outfits are so feminine, and beautiful.

Your research will be a great help to me in recreating some of these wonderful costumes.
